Average onboarding for a solo prescriber

SimplePractice is built for therapists. Epic is built for hospitals.
This is built for you.

Most psych software stops at scheduling and a notes textbox. Hospital EMRs bury MSE, PMP attestation, and Stanley-Brown safety plans behind a dozen clicks. We put the things a prescriber needs in the first 30 seconds of a chart on the first 30 seconds of a chart.

What's in the box

Everything a psych prescriber actually uses.

Measurement-based care, on every chart

PHQ-9 and GAD-7 trends with response (≥50% drop) and remission (<5) flags right on the patient summary. Every score saves to the longitudinal record — no Excel sheet on the side.

Stanley-Brown safety plans

Six-step safety plan editor purpose-built for behavioral health: warning signs, internal coping, social distractions, contacts, professionals, and means restriction. Append-only revision history for clinical and legal review.

Controlled-substance command center

Active C-II through C-V prescriptions in one panel with schedule chips, days-supply totals, refill cadence, and a one-click PMP review attestation. Stale-query nudges turn yellow at 90 days.

AIMS, C-SSRS, PHQ-9, GAD-7 — scored in-line

All four behavioral-health instruments ship in the pack with proper bands, severity colors, and CPT-aware suggestions. Score → save → it's on the chart and it counts toward MIPS-134, MIPS-107, and MIPS-411.

MSE-aware AI scribe

Dictation produces SOAP, DAP, BIRP, or psychiatric-intake notes in the requested format. The scribe is hard-prompted to include a complete Mental Status Exam and to surface explicit suicide-risk stratification when the dictation references SI/HI.

Time-based psychotherapy billing

90832 (30 min) / 90834 (45 min) / 90837 (60 min) with the time-bound rules baked into the encounter form. Add-on E&M psychotherapy (90833/36/38), family (90846/47), group (90853), and crisis (90839/40) all pre-loaded.

Revenue capture from MAC's full EMR

HCC recapture (chronic dx with $/RAF estimate), 2021 E/M MDM calculator, ICD specificity prompts, modifier capture (–25, –95, –GT), and claim scrub — every dollar Epic catches, this catches.

Heritage-grade UX

Crisp typography, ⌘K patient palette, premium toasts, route transitions, sparklines, animated counters. Looks like an EMR that won't make you want to quit medicine.

A few things prescribers ask first.

Does it support EPCS?

Not yet. EPCS requires DEA-credentialed identity proofing and a separate vendor integration. We're building it as a Q3 add-on. Meantime, the EMR captures the full e-prescription record so paper / fax workflows stay intact.

Can I migrate from Cerner / Epic / Osmind?

Yes. Bulk FHIR R4 import for Patient, Condition, AllergyIntolerance, and MedicationRequest is built in (drag-drop NDJSON at /admin/import). Notes and historical encounters import as PDF documents on the timeline.

What about therapy notes (HIPAA 45 CFR 164.508)?

DAP and BIRP note formats ship in the pack with the structural separation psychotherapy notes require. The scribe is prompted not to include direct quotes or session play-by-play in therapy notes.

Who's behind this?

Sigil is an independent psychiatry-first EMR built by clinicians, out of Dubuque, Iowa. The platform was originally built for a $100M, 32-provider multispecialty clinic (Sigil, since 1924) and is now offered as a standalone vertical for psych practices.
